Dan has worked closely with technology and emerging growth companies throughout his entire career. Prior to Domo, he was general counsel and secretary at Fusion-io, where he was instrumental in the company’s $270M IPO on the NYSE and its $1.3B sale to SanDisk Corporation. Before transitioning to an in-house advisor, Dan was an attorney at Silicon Valley-based Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. There he specialized in technology transactions and intellectual property.
Dan has been admitted to the bar in Texas, Washington, and Utah, and has been professionally recognized as a "Texas Rising Star," a "Washington Rising Star," and a member of Utah’s "Legal Elite." He graduated cum laude from BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School after majoring in Spanish and minoring in philosophy as a BYU undergraduate.
When he’s not playing the role of legal eagle, Dan is likely participating in some type of endurance sport, which is quite apropos given his fondness for the unforgiving pace of emerging growth companies. He’s an avid runner and cyclist. He recently completed his first Lotoja—a one day, three state, 206-mile bike race.
